Lady Wray Unveils Uplifting New Single “You’re Gonna Win” and Details Forthcoming Album “Cover Girl”
R&B icon Lady Wray (formerly known as Nicole Wray) returns with her latest single, “You’re Gonna Win.”
She’s also revealed that her highly anticipated album, “Cover Girl,” will arrive on September 26th, 2025, through Big Crown Records. This new record marks another chapter in Wray’s decade-spanning collaboration with producer Leon Michaels. Together, they’ve shaped a vibrant evolution of her sound, weaving in elements from the ‘60s and ‘70s soul and disco that first inspired her, while also drawing on the energy of ‘90s hip-hop, classic R&B, and gospel.
On “Cover Girl,” Wray turns her songwriting lens inward, reflecting on her journey from childhood to motherhood, all while cherishing the same heartfelt spirit she now witnesses in her daughter’s own growth since her last album, 2022’s Piece of Me.
