Rising R&B group Psiryn have just dropped their take on Xscape’s iconic ballad “The Softest Place on Earth.” Their version fuses the dreamy feel of 90s R&B with a fresh wave of vulnerability and sensuality that feels very now.
Produced by T-Nyce and penned by Ashun, the track was designed to sound intimate, rich, and contemporary. Kandi Burruss—an original member of Xscape—introduced the project to her longtime collaborator Jonathan “Jay-O” Henry and vocal producer Brandin Jay to help reimagine the song for today’s audience.
